We are going to take a look at two 2-in-1 tablets, the RCA Cambio vs Viking Pro. The RCA Cambio and the RCA Viking Pro come with a 32G hard disk. This is often enough for most people’s tablet use. That being said, they also have MicroSD card slots. The RCA Cambio can take a 128GB MicroSD card. The specific card size isn’t listed for the RCA Viking Pro.

Connectivity

You can connect the RCA Cambio and the RCA Viking Pro to other devices either via built-in Wi-Fi or via Bluetooth 4.0.

Cameras

There are front and rear cameras with the RCA Cambio and the RCA Viking Pro. Both front and rear cameras are 2 megapixels.

Interactions

Aside from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, you also have a good range of options to connect to other devices. You do have a built-in microphone and speaker with the RCA Cambio and the RCA Viking Pro, but as they are still just tablets, you may want to connect a speaker or microphone with the 3.5mm jack. There is not a great difference. Both are black and the size is similar, with a slight difference in thickness. Both come with detachable keyboards; however, the dimensions are for the tablet itself.

Processor

The processor or CPU is crucial as it is what provides the processing power and instructions to the tablet. A more powerful processor allows for a faster tablet.

This comes with an Intel Atom quad-core processor and a 2MB cache. The CPU speed is 1.92 GHz, which is good for this price range.

Operating System

It’s often helpful to have a tablet that uses an operating system you are used to. That being said, there are benefits to learning about new operating systems.

The Final Verdict

The first thing to mention is that if you rely on Windows, then you should choose the RCA Cambio. It does have its own version of Google Play but it’s not quite the same. Needless to say, if you want the range of apps that come with an Android, the RCA Viking Pro is the better choice.

When not considering these factors, we decided that the RCA Cambio was the better tablet. Even though it is more expensive at around $40-$50 more, the increased CPU speed and RAM makes this a slightly faster tablet and overall, it performs better.
