The Lamp
The lamp is one of the most important parts of a projector and the light enables vivid images to be displayed.
BenQ W1070
It comes with a 2000 lumen lamp. The lamp uses EcoSmart Technology to extend the life of the lamp, but it doesn’t specify how many hours of life you can get.
BenQ HT2050
It’s a little brighter at 2200 lumens. The lamp also uses EcoSmart Technology and when on EcoSmart mode, you will get approximately 6000 hours of lamp life.

The Final Verdict
We have a clear winner today. BenQ upgraded just enough of all the features to make a significant difference. The actual unit is a little larger and the maximum screen size is a little smaller but for the higher lumens, contrast ratio, and USB port, we felt that the BenQ HT2050 was definitely the better projector. Plus, as the price was fairly similar, we thought it was definitely more sensible to buy the BenQHT2050.
